With the AICell trace, we have created measurement technology that did not exist before. An inline system certified according to DIN EN ISO 10360, it delivers on the promise embodied in “Metrology goes inline”: What was previously reserved for the measurement laboratory now runs on the production line.

Traceability may sound like a technical detail for specialists, but it is the decisive factor. It means that every measurement can be traced back seamlessly to the primary meter. Furthermore, the measurement uncertainty is clearly documented. It is precisely this feature that makes the AICell trace the first true feature-measuring machine on the production line.

This is made possible by the interaction of three components: the AIMax cloud point cloud sensor, a tracking system consisting of multiple cameras that knows at all times where the sensor is positioned on the component, and our proprietary INDI software, which calibrates robots and compensates for temperature effects. What makes these three components the first true inline measuring machine is the certified acceptance: It guarantees laboratory-grade accuracy for the entire system. It is the combination of these four factors that makes the difference.

The AICell trace measures everything, from individual sheet metal parts to complete car bodies. It adheres to the measurement principles our customers are familiar with from the measurement room and delivers reliable results in fractions of a second, starting with the very first component.

The AICell trace is not simply a product in our portfolio. It is proof that “Metrology goes inline” is more than just a promise.
