The AICell is the cornerstone of our portfolio. It is the product that started it all and is still in use today on most of our customers’ production lines. Fast, precise, and robot-independent.

It brings smart process control directly to the production line: Geometric measurements are performed in real time, while holes, bolts, edges, and other functional features are reliably detected. Trends and deviations become visible early on, long before they affect the finished component. This allows errors to be detected before they occur.

What distinguishes the AICell from a classic inline measurement system is its independence from the robot: the manufacturer and model of the robot have no influence on measurement accuracy. This makes integration into existing lines easy: Once set up, the system can be transferred to other plants without having to reconfigure the measurement logic each time.

The real game-changer is closed-loop control systems that function across all production areas. Instead of isolated measurement stations, continuous data flows are established throughout the entire process chain: from the press shop to the body shop, and from the body shop to the paint shop. This means corrections are based on facts rather than on empirical values or random samples. The benefit: costly rework in downstream areas is avoided.

The end result: measurable quality improvements, significant productivity gains in production, and a major step toward the Smart Factory.
